Toledo Bend....best kept secret in the state. Limit after limit of big ducks. And the best part about it is that its FREE. No expensive blind or lease fee. Plenty of room to hunt and black sky full of ducks. Love it..been hunting there for twenty years. I have hunted from one end of the state to the other and no other place comes close.

Default Cheneyville

I'm pretty sure I am in a lease up in Cheneyville this year. I am fairly new to duck hunting so maybe some of you fellas might like to come with me one morning. Last year was not a good year with all the water from the hurricanes, but in years past this blind has done really well.

Had a chance to lease a blind in the lake this year. Decided not to due to the screwed up rules they have. It would have been convenient, I only live 10 min. from the lake. Plus the alligators are so bad you can't use a dog. I still hunt on some of the Miller estate property, but not in the lake.

Yea the corn is fun! The damn woodducks ar unbelievable like nats!! Around Christmas when the big groups of mallards start coming we flooded another couple of fresh fileds of corn and is murder! It's such a good time! Standing corn is the way to go. Even the timber when we flood the acorns it's crazy how the ducks get thru the trees.

The only bad thing is we do not get any teal or widgeon. Except during late dec-Jan we get the big purple head blue wings come in with the mallards. Very few though!

Good luck with everyone's season!
