Got one at the end of last year, absolutely love it. Decided I was selling my Extrema after the first hunt with it. It shoots 3 1/2's smother than any gun I have shot. Also the weight distribution is absolutely perfect. Highly highly reccomend the new maxus to anyone..

I think you should go with the gun that comes to shoulder the easiest.

Either "B" guns are great.

Funny, I've had issues with my maxus two hunts this year. Pulled up on birds and *click*...had to eject a shell via the bolt and shoot at birds. (smoked a pintail this am after hand ejecting a shell!)

the shell I ejected fell in the water so I couldn't see if the pin struck it right or not...could be the kents??

Guys, thanks for all the opinions! I ended up buying one last week and put about 4 boxes threw it since without a problem. I love the gun so far & couldn't be happier with it. Again, thanks for your input!

Sulphite - you might have a faulty gun.....you're the only one I've heard of with any problems with the Maxus. Mine shoots low brass fine as well as the big stuff.

Salty Hog - you're not gonna regret your purchase! Great gun imho.

And don't clean all the lubrication oil out of it the 1st day you get it, or you will have shell jamming issues. Or maybe it was the chicken wing sauce that got caught up in the shell ejecting mechanism?

Default My Opinion

The beretta explora if like beretta guns.

I purchased a maxus in Feb. and LUVVVV it. Had a beretta but Benelli purchased them and Franchi & Stoeger and something else.

If one of them brakes, 30-90 day on parts. Everything comes from Italy.

So I puchased my Maxus ( After Alot of research).

I go to largest hunting website in the U.S., North Dakota Outdoors.

Post a question, and the overwhleming response was MAXUS. Second was the Explora, but boy is it pricey.

I have the MO duck blind. But the Black is a little cheaper.

Good Luck

Biggun

Seen one at Acadiana Outfitters that had a barrel that looked like carbon fiber. One of the smoothest guns i've seen.
