Default First Build Complete!!!!!!!!

I really just pinned the upper and lower together, but finally got it all together! I told the wife I would buy it piece by piece over a few months, but once I bought the first part I caught the fever and had it all together in 2 weeks.

It's a New Frontier lower (LPK will be upgraded) with a PSA 16" mid length upper. I changed the fore-end to an OD green Magpul MOE and put on a mil spec Magpul CTR stock. BCG is a commercial DPMS but will be changed as soon as Bravo Company gets more in stock. I couldn't find an OD green grip at the gunshow so I'lll have to order one online I guess.

I'm pumped and can't wait to go shoot it, but wife said I have to get someone more knowledgable to check it over first. She doesn't trust YouTube like I do!! Anybody in the Lafayette area with knowledge in AR platforms want to do a quick QC check for a case of beer shoot me a PM.

Did you assemble the upper?

I found a half way decent deal on an assembled upper so I'll save the complete build for the next one.

If it was pre built upper you should be good to go. As long as your bcg is mil spec the headspace should be fine.

Well with the upcoming AWB and bam on "big clips" you won't be able to buy them anymore, so I'll trade you for you Haynie, a 4x4 truck (2000 or newer), or a 3 bedroom house on at least 10 acres ! It's a good deal, think about it!

That's what I'm worried about because it's a commercial BCG. I guess I should have a gunsmith check it out then.

Right at $800-850. I wanted a nice KISS rifle. The most I'll put on it is a mounted light and maybe a vertical grip up front and nice optics once I replenish the gun fund! Once I figure out the BCG issue I'll let you know when I go shoot.

Edit that last statement.... Added up the receipts and I was closer to $1,000..... Still not too bad for these panic price days. I'm happy so it's worth it!

Update: I didn't get a BRavo Company BCG, but I found another milspec and have it changed out. I quit being a little puss and nutted up and told the old lady to stand down, I was shooting it. Who needs all their fingers anyways?! I shot 3 rounds and it cycled flawlessly! Looks like I'm in business now podna!!!
