When i was very young my dad was superentendent for Humble Oil.. He worked at Avery Island..

We used to frog and fished the various lakes and lake edges that the roads around on the island came close to.... He was very close to the owners of the island back at that time, Mr. Coleman Avery and his wife.

My dad was an avid night Bass fisherman, and he fished with a fly rod alot... I would go to work with him at night when I was out of school in summer.. Some time we go frogging by truck... When a frog was out of reach, he would simple lay a large bass white or yellow floating bug in front of the frog, and the frog would inhale that damn popping bug...

Damnest thing U ever saw... The minute I saw that Picture, it brought me back to those nights on Avery's Island with my dad as a little boy..

Thks for joggin an awesome memory....

The next viral frog pic! My boy "Frogman" just got some competition!

By next week, it'll be an 11#er caught in a ditch in Sulphur!
