In all fairness we did leave at 7:45 so we could go make our football game.

We hunted Saturday. Hot and humid like the Amazon. Six guys killed 2 birds saw very few. Sunday morning three of us hunted. No humidity. Light northerly breeze. Felt ducky. Killed our 18 handily despite some sketchy shooting. Hunting this morning, Monday, in two groups. Amazon like humidity again and foggy. Two groups of 4 hunters. We killed the only three that came. The other group had 5. Very few birds moving, typical for a foggy Monday

17 on SAT and 16 on SUN. Talked to a few people that hunt around my blind and it seems we did better than most in the South Kaplan area. Last year we had 42 both days of opening weekend. I will be happy if we can contiue to avg 3-4 birds per hunter thru the season unless we get a big push of new birds in.

Limits both days in Grand Chenier. Didn't shoot a bird until 7:30am Saturday. By 8:00am we were limited. Sunday was early shooting finishing by 7:30.

I hunted at Doug's lodge sat, limits (3 man) by 7:30. Our blind S of Lake Arthur limited in 20 minutes sat (5 man), and by around 8:30 Sun (7 man).
My dad's blind in Holly Beach killed a few Sat with very little birds, and had a ton of birds show up Sun. They limited Sun (4 man) and today (4 man). One band Sun, and another band today.

Where at in Welch? I am south of I-10 near McCown road. Didn't see anything like that.

Know some people that leased the section just north of that road. Don't think they've been doing very good.
