Default marsh island

best way to get to marsh island pass?
I"m in morgan city and usually fish the east, dularge, grand isle, but now because of the closures i'm forced to fish west. would love to start learning vbay. I've got a 19 foot boat that handles the water pretty well. looking for some options to get my trout fix.

Get some binoculars and cruise he bay.......you'll learn a lot in one trip. Mud point and the hammock should do you, no need to go to Marsh island.....unless you want crabs, lots of hookers there.......

Bay is open unless you are going to SW Pass. Then you will have to go through the Dry Reef area that is loaded with small satelites. There are no places to purchase live shrimp at the point so you will have to bring them with you. Most people who fish the point do so with arties.

One of my buddies works gor a guy that fishes the point but mainly the rigs. Said he told him that he drives to Houma and buys 100s of croakers and drives them all the way back to his camp at the point where he has a huge bait well!

There are alot of people with camps that have live cocahoes delivered to them. The boat shop off 90 at the exit before Darnall Rd has cocahoes and last year he said he was going to try to get shrimp and croacker but I have heard it actually happened.
