Default waypoint organization

What software is everyone using to organize their waypoints and load them on their gps? I have been doing it manually for years like a hard head.

I use the mapsource program by garmin. For your garmin system you can hook up straight to your computer and download files or download them to a card. For lowrance I have saved them as a different file type, .gpx I think, and saved them on an sd card to put in my unit

EASYGPS, Garmin Basemap and Navionics

Easy GPS is probably the best for more than one brand

I have a garmin 541s. I don't thinks it's compatible with my unit from what their site says.

and this
