Default Ceracote

Just bought a Sig 9mm. Should I ceracote it or not? What are the pro's and cons?

Go for it if you want your own color combo pistol. It's just like the parkerized finish on say like an AR-15 or a 870. You can ruin it by gouging or sticking it in a vice the same way you can ruin the the finish on any gun. I've seen some really cool looking cerakoted firearms but it's not for me. I like original finish. It isn't the cheapest to have done.

I had an ejector break on my 870. Took it to gunsmith and had it changed along with having the gun cera-koted to match the synthetic stocks. I was very pleased with the end result as far as looks. Can't comment on durability as it's only been a few months.
