I agree. They are also using the flooding of farm land from the Mississippi river this year also as an excuse.

Buy direct, if you are using that much corn find a farmer and purchase from him. Might be cheaper in the long run.

our lease is 7 miles west on us 190. we use to buy our corn from mill, by the super bag in New Berlin but now the mill is closed. The only good thing is we only have to feed one time a year.our feeders are 1200 pound boss buck feeders

you can buy from a local mill or elevator. you can get it for around 9 bucks for a 55gallon drum. we get ours from a feed store in white castle 12 a drum. you have to bring your own drums and they just pour it in. if they still have corn left over from last year you can get it pretty cheap. only thing is you might have little pieces of cob in it and it can clog a feeder. just pour it through a screen when filling feeders.

IMO fishing is waaaay more expensive than hunting. My wife asked me to put away the guns when my 2nd kid was born and I obliged and bought a boat :smoking: She didn't realize that there is no "fishing season" like hunting season…but I know hands downs i can't compare the cost of a season of hunting to a year of fishing….

Can't beat the rush of shooting a buck within 30 yards with a bow! Fishing is more expensive, hunting only last 3 months.
