That anchor rod looks fairly small.

I wonder how it holds up when there is a wind or some current.

At least when a Power Pole is deployed, it's not sticking up 4' in the air obstructing fishing. The MK is always "up".

Thy are so close to the motor that I really don't think it makes a difference. Especially if you trim the motor up to troll. I have a powerpole and think that in 4 foot or less of water that it sticking out of the back of the boat is more of a problem.

my PP cost $1399. i also bought the adapter plate and wireless remote. After tax it was around $2K. I installed it myself. My guess is you will have to pay for accessories for this one too

Talon comes with a comprehensive 2-year warranty and lifetime guarantee on the spike. It is available with either a six-foot, four-inch or eight-foot, four-inch spike and choice of a black or white motor cover. The manufacturer’s suggested retail prices for Talon are $1,299 with a six-foot, four-inch spike and $1,449 with an eight-foot, four-inch spike. All models can be used in freshwater or saltwater and come standard with two wireless remote controls. Talon will be available to consumers this fall.

I have on occasion forgotten the PP was down and got on plane - some time for a while. No issues. How does the MK hold up to owner error?
