Default E85 gas ????

Anyone use this ? My daughter lives in Kansas and just bought a 2013 dodge dart. The dealer filled it with E85 . They told her it gets better mileage and it's .10 a gallon or so cheaper . I always heard it cost more , less power , less mileage . Got me curious....

It's actually a few cents cheaper. Used to be a lot cheaper. Few stores in BR sell it.

My understanding is it gives less power, hence less fuel economy. I would stay clear of it myself.

I believe it's a higher effective octane, so if your motor is tuned to run it you can get more power, but at the same time you have to burn about 1/3 more vs gasoline.

I know some people have four wheelers running it and have to jet way up, but it's much cheaper than race gas for high compression bikes.

I tried it u lose gas mileage with E-85, truck normally gets 22 on highway with E-85 I get around 19 on highway. My truck is flex fuel safe, I do not recommend it.
