I agree, the "pro" Oyster people made some good points and I was not sure how the vote would go.

I wish the LDWF would/could have presented a better assessment of there data and sampling of Oyster stock.

The "Pro" people sure twisted some of there information [incorrect information] to support the Oyster fishermen/women.

With all the evidence against the oyster fishermen it was a slam dunk. Or that's what I heard. Congratulations on getting it moved out of committee.

Passed 5-2, on to full senate for the vote on Monday. Hoping that the support in the House translates over to the Senate on Monday.
Might want to drop Stephen Dwight a line thanking him for his support on 156.
See ya in a couple years Waltrip

Great job.

I was able to watch towards the end when Lambert and Chabert were asking questions and from their questions I figured they were going to vote no. Didn't see much else though.

I spoke with Dan Morrish this am and he said Chabert was a no
So we knew we have 1 no for sure and 1 50/50

With lambert

Thought we would of had 9 Sen to vote
So we were looking at a 7-2 vote
Ended up 5-2

Think we are good under Dan on Senate Floor

Great news, something alot of us have been asking for since it's inception and we saw the damage it was doing to the reefs. Thank you to everyone whom helped push this threw!

This was only a "victory" for the Senate NR committee voting to pass the bill on to the full Senate.

The Senate will have to talk about it and then vote. If it passes, it still will need the Governor's signature to become a law.
