Default Polaris ranger reviews and opinions?

I have a buddy who's is looking into buying a Polaris ranger and very close to pulling the trigger. He is wanting me to start this thread to get some of you guys' opinions and suggestions on the machine. Are they problematic? And if you guys think the John Deere gator is better? Also, he got a quote from Henderson Implement for a 800 in camo with a roof with the radio and a winch for just over 15k, is this a good price?

the camo if left outside fades bad bad and will turn almost a pinkish color....I hate polaris because ive worked on them. They do have a good warranty but my opinion is I would never own one, its more a ford vs chevy vs dodge thing for me though. If hes not the type to dog his equipment then they are great...my dad has a ranger and is very gentle with his and I have had to work on small issues with his..I believe they are good in certain instances you just have to take care of them, maintenance them as per scheduled and keep them clean after any mud. They ALL break at some point and time so its really just personal preference. I would look into pricing them in Mississippi, best prices i e heard of are over there..Try in the Natchez area shops. My very honest opinion is there are tons of them out there with zero issues so tell him if he likes them just to get it, hes paying for it get what you like.

He takes very good care of his stuff so I'm guessing that shouldn't be an issue. Thanks for the info on the pricing, I'll pass it on to him.

I've been told to stay away from Lafayette Powersports though. Horrible customer service.

I have the 2013 Ranger 900 and so far have been very pleased with it. It's a lot quieter and had a smoother ride than the Ranger 800.

We build boxes for Henderson when their customer wants a quality sounding custom roof and not the probox roofs

We rent them to construction companies and they abuse the hell out of them. We have had no problems at all.

I bought a brute 750 couple years ago from Brookhaven, MS. Sticker price for stock at powersports was 8200 vs. 6900 in MS. Deff worth the 100$ in gas. I believe they were a polaris dealer as well.
