Default Trailer brakes...

So I changed my trailer brakes today and here is a pic of the pads I pulled off.

Anyone know why the pads are coming apart like this?

Don't know what caused your problem.

I know that salt water can damage the magnets on a outboard engine and cause the magnets to break.

If you have this happen..... the magnets can be replaced fairly easily. The hard part is finding replacement magnets. I got some magnets from a guy in Florida several years back.
