Default Yucatan

Morning everyone. Had an inquiry about a fishing camp I visited many times as a young man. Located out of Newellton, La. Was known as Yucatan landing. Relatives out of Natchez owned a cabin and lot on the bluff overlooking the lake. Man did we catch the white perch with every trip we made. Many great memories with my Uncle teaching me his fishing techniques. Just curious if the camp stills exists as its been over 45 yrs since my last visit.

Thanks for any replies.

I know this is a little late, but I just joined this forum yesterday. My grandmother was raised in Newellton and later moved back there around the mid 70's and stayed there until a couple of years ago. She lived on Lake Bruin. I fished several times at Yucatan in the late 80's and early 90's, but do not remember seeing any kind of fishing cabin around. The boat launch and farmland was about all that was there and some excellent fishing.

Cheers

I can remember at least 5-6 cabins along the bluff over looking the lake. Guess they tired of rebuilding after floods. Anyway, thanks for your reply.
Fish well, friend.
