I get where you're coming from, but Tobin's made somewhere around 1,000 changes to this bait and scrapped the design twice, so I'd say no, there are probably differences. Tell ya what, I've got some on order and I'll do a video comparison of the two.

Cool.

Back in the day when we had shallow grass flats (now just sand flats ), the floating grass would get pretty thick late in the summer and I used a lot of weightless plastics fished as topwaters. The best were the Culprit Dart Bait and the Kicker Fish Shad Stick which are both out of production.

I'll certainly give these a try.
