You could try Transocean. They have 6 new rigs coming out in the next couple years. That willl be about the only company hiring now.

I got NCCER Cert. in Welding levels 1,2,3...also NCCER in Pipefitting...so its not that i dont have experience...i have been in and out of plants....and welding since i was 14....i just would be willing to try new things to go offshore...ya know...

and on a diff note..Coachlaw...i hear ya..i really do...i should stay in skool..and its not hard right now..but unlike most 20 year olds who get help from parents while in school...im 100% on my own with this..that means a truck note Boat note..and other misc. notes..i thought i was financially ready for skool..but im not..so id like to try to work for a year till next fall and my goal in that year will be to get mah boat and truck and 4-wheeler paid off...then school will be alot more possible.

I hearya man, its easy for people to tell you to stay in school but its a different story when u cant afford it. I worked full time since i got out of highschool and went to school while i was doing it. I just finished college this summer and got my degree only took 8 years and there were a couple times i had to dropout but somehow i finished and i tell u what it was the best thing i ever did. Its a lot harder when u got bills to pay and find time for work and school.

HH... I work for a company that we supply tower internals (trays, packing, & coalescers) We design, manufacture, & install them. I think I read were you worked at some of the plants. If that is the case I am sure you are very familiar with turnaround work. Our field service crews are always looking for good welders and boilermakers. I work on the sales engineering side of selling the process equipment to the plants when looking to do the upgrades. I do know the construction manager of our field group well. PM me if you want to find out more info.

HH if you cannot afford school look at joining the Army Reserve or National Guard....this is what I did.

stay in school.....sell your toys till you graduate or just go get some student loans. Lots of options there. Got figure out what's got priority in your life. A 4 wheeler/boat note or a college degree.
