I filmed a TV show with Tony 'Castin Cajun' Fontenot today, Scott 'The Specialist' Walker also joined us. Our goal was to film the REDTIDE again today. We started offshore at the islands where we have been seeing them early in the mornings. Well we hooked and landed a couple Bulls, but they never made their presence like we had hoped for. We switched gears to trout, as we were already catching a few trout while looking for the reds. It didn't take long as we were all slinging some very nice yellow mouths in the boat, in the slick calm Gulf. Perfect conditions today made it very easy to move around and locate the fish. Avocado & Shrimp Creole Matrix Shad, and East Beast TTF KFMS seemed to work best with a slow retrieve and occasional twitch off the bottom. We put a good box of fish together for the show by 10:00 am, then left the fish biting to head in as we all had other obligations we had to take care of. Good times as always, lots of laughs and trash talking going on. Thanks Tony for all you do in helping promote all the local guides in the area, always a pleasure fishing with you.
