Default Big Lake Review

Over last two weeks has been some of the worst fishing conditions that i can recall in last several years .
Not only was the water just down right bad but fish did not eat at all .

I decided to cancel 22 of 26 boats over two week period because I want to give our customers the best our service has to offer and knowing fishing was bad I rather lose out than rob peoples hard earned money .

I fished most of the days I could trying to find good water and good trout bite .

Had one day I spent from Sun up to 2pm in West Cove where I found some decent water and got 5 bites all day long
Did not land one fish .. That might be a 1st of my life on this lake fishing that long with zero fish coming in the boat .

We had a few days where we actually found a good mess of fish .
Most come off dark color little John and topwater

We are cranking back up this weekend (if weather allows )

Give us a call

Best of luck coming up! Water was terrible last week when I was there too. But better days ahead!

Thanks for the post. It’s nice to hear
A) an actual fishing report around here!
B) an honest report, especially from a guide and especially when it’s not all “smashed em today again!!!”
Thank you

although dubya gets a lot of flack over the years on this site, he is still here and pretty much the only one that appears to give honest, helpful, and frequent reporting specifically from big lake..

keep it up W
