Default Fronts and Specs

Does cold fronts effect spec fishing like it does bass fishing or saltwater fishing in general.

Not near as bad as bass. Find clean water and bait and you should do fine.

I find as long is there is a tide and the barometric pressure is changing, I you can catch them, but if there was a cold front that came thru and there is a major temp drop and no tide, the odds are its gonna be a tough fishing day. I plan on fishing saturday, not much of a tide and 2 days after a front, it should be a little windy, which will help the water move I don't know if I'll get a limit but I'll be out there fishing. No wind, no tide, and the only bites you will get is from gnats and skeeters! there are many things I factor in to what an incredible fishing day would be, sometimes I ignore all those factors and go anyway, sometimes I save my money and go on a good day. I went monday, 2 days before a front and the tide was falling all day, it was cloudy and the temp was 60-70 degrees all day, It made for a great day to fish.

If you have to go the day after a front, try to find the deepest water in the area.
drop down to a 1/8th oz jig w/ a small plastic lure . Fish slower than slow . Braid will help you feel the real light bites that you will get.
