I think some foresee a possible tax increase on ammuniton in the future. They buy up what they can while the price is right. Empty shelves are whats makeing everyone else buy.

2 things I'm absolutely sure of. When the day comes I HAVE to defend myself with a gun. 1. I will never need another bullet. 2. There will be plenty laying around. Leave the high price ammo to the preppers. JMO.

I'll be in Montana or the swamp, come and get me. The signs of a firefight that would require me to defend my house and such to that extent will be far enough in advance that me and my family will be long gone.

If it gets that bad, mad max type stuff, the possessions in our home will be last on my mind. Homesteading on the plains or getting off the grid in the swamp will be ideal for sustaining my family long term. Instead of spending all that money on ammo, buy a piece of property up in the middle of nothing land .... Or is THAT crazy?

I'm actually looking forward to it.

Give it a think.

Default dave's

dave's in lafayette has some decent ammo on the shelf, i didn't look for any 223 cause i have a 6.8, so i apoligize for that, but they don't have any bulk boxes of .22, he has a stack of cci 17gra jhp .17hmr, and a few boxes of .22 but i think mostly they are shot shells, he has some 9mm some 10mm some 38 some 40 and some 45acp, not sure on the prices cause i didn't need any of those

and i was able to get a 30round mag for my 6.8 so suck it obummer
should have bought both of them but at $52 each i couldn't do it

academy in LC had some .223 and 7.62 x 39...not much and 1 box per caliber per customer...not worth my time.

This morning academy in Lafayette had 223 556 40 and 22. The 22lr was only in the small pack. Do yall know if anyone has 22lr bricks? I need to pick up a few for me and my father in law.

Go look on that Cajun swap shop. There's so many ar's xd's and tons of ammo. I couldn't justify buying in bulk just to try to sell locally at a markup.
