Default 10/16/14 Afternoon trout bite

I rarely do afternoon trips but Brad Denson and crew with Innovative Audio didn't want to come in early so we met up at the Reel Inn around 11:30. The wind had picked up out of the WNW which made it difficult. We hid for most of the afternoon fishing points and reefs in protected areas. The first two stops were blanks. The third stop we found about a dozen with Shrimp Creole Matrix under a cork. We hit a number of stops catching a couple at each stop but nothing to brag about. With around 30 in the K2 we saw a flock of birds and the double rigs went out and the trout came in. The birds were skittish so once I pulled up to them as soon as the first fish was hooked the power pole went down and even when the birds left we were able to still catch for a bit. We hit a number of flocks filling up the K2 before heading in at sunset. Thanks guys for a great afternoon.
