Default Snapper Still Slammin

Here's some cool pics from today. Killing the snapper south of Pascagoula. Were able to get them up to the top with chum churn and catch them with Garcia 6500's! Great day.

Default My little boy.

That's my little boy in the background of the table pic. I've told some of you about him in some previous post. He'll be fishing in a couple of years In hope.

ive never really fished offshore, but my dad said they used to go out of mermentau about 20 years ago and hammer down on snapper at some ridges about 15 miles out, he said they would kill the trigger fish and said they are hard to beat the flavor

Man nice haul. Those are some nice big snapper. Trust me your little boy will be joining you in the next few years for fishing trips. My son used that same type walker for a few years. Thank GOD, he can now walk on his own.

its acctually wat they call an atlantic lane snapper to be exact..lots of people confuse the 2 but there is a difference..lots of people confuse mangroves with these due to the lack of black dot on back witch regular lane snappers have..these atlantic lane snappers just has a black smeere with a very distinct yellow striped pattern...they are called atlantic fish but there is a verry high population of them in the gulf..
