Default Big Weekend in Dularge

Today may have been the best day on the water yet this year. Beautiful weather, little to no wind, very few gnats, and tons of speckled trout. I ran part of a 20 man trip from Cajun Industries out of the Reel Inn today. We started at daybreak on top of oyster reefs dotting the shorelines of Lake mechant. Action was steady and the crew on my boat was getting into them pretty good when the switch shut off. We waited out the tide and made a short move awhile later and found the water boiling with fish chasing minnows out of the water. The sound those trout make when they slurp bait at the surface never gets old. It's a rare occasion and one I'll never forget. The action continued hot and heavy and everyone in the boat was hooking up every cast. When the smoke cleared we had 75 trout cooling in the new Kysek Extreme Cold. Great day for everyone as everyone in the group caught lots of fish! Big thanks to Capt. T. Miller for the trip! Reflexion Ghost Bammers did most of the damage on quarter oz. goldeneye jigheads.

Bad copy and paste job. Is there any way to edit the original post?

This is what was meant to be posted for Sunday 3-22-15

This weekend I was part of a 5 boat group from Cajun Industries fishing out of The Reel Inn. Trout fishing exploded for them on Saturday and then subsided on Sunday. This little cool spell we had must have shut down much of the trout feeding activity but my crew managed to drive some hooks deep in the ones that were. We settled in on the Power Pole on a point with moving water and just stayed patient, drifting our baits on the bottom in the current. Every trout that we caught there was a stud and even boxed a flounder and 2 nice reds. We could have caught 15 3/4' reds all day but the crew had to be back at the Reel Inn for 11:00. We had the most fun possible in a short amount of time. Shelly was proud of her red that's for sure! This large group took advantage of The Reel Inn's turn key operation and enjoyed the best of the best down in Bayou Dularge. Chef Rickie Daigle hit 'em with some of the best cajun food available and they are all excited to come back.

If you have a large group to entertain, The Reel Inn is the place to be. I can set it up as a turn key operation for as many boats as you need. Give me a call to book your spring trips! The Blue Wave 2400 is the finest bay boat you will ever fish on!
