Best of luck, but FYI - teal season does NOT close till Sept. 27. Hope this helps! but mayber you only have 4 days to hunt with your schedule, if that is the case then excuse the response!

No problem dude, that's what I'm here for. When it comes to shootin' teal, I all about dat'!
Another FYI, don't know where your property is, but I hunted Sat, Sun, & Mon north of Hathaway and did extremely well. Heard from several guys that had hunted the Kaplan/Gueydan area that it basically sucked and seemed the birds were north of I-10. Well, from what I saw yesterday afternoon south of LA 14 between Gueydan and Wright, the birds have really piled in and have made it south of I-10 for sure! Talked to my neighbor (manager of G&H) birds arrived in that area over the last 48 hours. KILLEM' ALL!!!!!!!!! |

I'm huntin about a mile north of I-10 in Jennings on the family farm. When I was out there gettin the field ready, the neighboring field had a bunch hanging out in those fields. I didn't have any water at the time.

Checked the pond yesterday afternoon and threw out the dekes. Got up this mornin and put out the mojo dove and sat on my crate. Perfect morning, just no birds. Kinda disappointing, but that's huntin. I just enjoyed gettin out there. Maybe tomorrow.
