Pretty excited to have shot this duck and it will look great next to a Hybrid Mallard/Pintail I have.

Unfortunately, I did not take any pics of the Speculum but it was more brown than green. I should've taken more pics of it. I hit him pretty hard with a full choke so i just snapped that one pic and put him in a bag as to not put any more wear and tear on him.

Once the mount is complete, I will post plenty pics so we all can get a better look.

Seems you just don't want to see it.. Look at the white around his neck, never seen a teal with it. You can't understand how large it is unless you see it. Teal don't just triple in size. A whole green wing would fit inside body of this bird. He has a few other strong markings of a Pintail but you wont see it if you don't want to.

I'm sure the other Hybrid I posted is just a long necked mallard with long curled springs added?

Thanks for the imput Cgoods17 but i'm going to go with the guys opinion who has mounted over 20K birds in 40 years

Thanks!! Sure, I will get it next to some of my other mounts and take a picture. I wish I had a regular Green Wing to take a picture of.

No problem man, it is definitely different.. i was just simply stating that it looks like a large teal with a dark neck and painted beak... sorry bubba

-and no i do see you mallard/pintail cross... those are more common than a teal/pintail/oldsquaw

So a taxidermist is ur go to guy for hybrid identification? I mean a biologist prolly don have a clue right? A duck stuffer would for sure know LOL. BTW I do see the old squaw in it but not pintail.
