Default Holly Beach/ Rocks Today???

Did anybody make it down to the beach/rocks today? Trying to find out what it looks like before I take southern151 (Corey) down there tomorrow.

Looks like the weather should be great tomorrow. Just wondering what the water looks like.

That's what I was seeing also. Its been about 1.5 months since I've been down there. Hopefully we'll have a good fishing report tomorrow evening.

I'm bringing the camera so there will be proof either way.

lookin at NOAA's forecast.. i dont see any significant north wind all the way thru friday. i'm thinkin the water will look like dog poo and the wave action moderate to heavy. not worth the hour trip for me..
good luck to y'all who try it!

We went this afternoon. Water was really clear but it was really slow. I finally got a red to hit a bomber! Pretty cool to see! To bad I set the hook like a sissy and he didn't stay on long. In the mean time I got to see the porpoises! Cool critters and one of em came within about 30 ft of me! Don't forget some sea turtles!

Anyway, Paul caught a beautiful spec that must have weighed like 200 lbs or somethin! Ok, maybe a couple. Lol

as he's takin his to the bank, boom, fish on! Headed for the rocks but got him away from em just to lose him 50' later! Dangit! I slammed that hook with tight drag and it was still pullin drag! Oh well.

Not a huge success story but, a great day out! Everything I got to see today looked way better than anything I would have seen behind a welding hood, for sure!

A HUGE thanks to Mr. Paul for taking me out today! Hopefully, we can get after it again before I leave.

My thoughts exactly! Another great sc member! I think he was a little disappointed with the count outcome but, where it put my mind, the count was of little to no importance to me!

My hat's off to you Paul!
