We fish a lot on the east side of Florida. I grew up in Louisiana and this will be our kids first time fishing in the marsh. Redfish over here are very spooky and finicky. I have plenty of spinner baits and top water plugs along with gold spoons and popping corks with double spec rigs. We are going to be there right after the oilmans rodeo. Just hoping to get on some specs an reds for the kids. Thanks for the help.

Wellheads and rigs on the backside of the islands will do for specks. What kind of boat will you be in? It can get choppy. Just hit the green water the. Find a rig or wellhead and you should pickup specks. If its not rough i would check out the beach.

If its not to rough you will be fine running out to the islands.
