Default Bay Jimmy on Saturday

Because the wind was kicking out the south east I decided to stay in the marsh on Saturday and not attempt Grand Isle. Good decision. I went to Bay Jimmy and was heading to a spot that I fish a lot as I was passed an old camp where just the pilings are still in the water I noticed the trout was busting the water and quickly dropped the trolling motor and got into position. First throw and I was hooked up, nice trout taking drag, faught her for about a minute and she spit the hook . Threw again and once again hooked up and boated my first fish of the day, solid 18" fish. Every cast I had at least one fish hooked up. After about 20 minute the bite stopped and nothing after that. I ended up loosing three fish that pulled drag, not sure what I did wrong there.

highlight of the day is that I caught a double with both of them going a solid 16" 17".

I was using a shedog with a trailer 1/4 oz jig head at about 18". Plastic color of choice was matrix creole. I remove the front hook on my shedogs and use it as a popping cork.
