Default LASIK surgery

Who has had it? Who did it? Any regrets? Do your eyes dry out quickly?

I've been debating doing it for the last few years and have always backed away. Tell me some things I need to know.

If you can't see and want to JUST DO IT... Know a few peeps that did it and they said it was great.

I thought about it but I just can't come to terms with getting my eyes blasted with a lazer.

its actually worse than getting your eyes blasted with a laser. They almost fillet the top of your eye and then do some other stuff.. I stopped reading once I read how they peel some layer off....

I'm still curious to see if anyone has complain about their eyes being dry. I read that its fairly common. My vision isn't terrible, but I have to wear contacts or glasses at all times. I hate contacts and I need to be able to wear safety glasses for work. They money isn't whats holding me back, I'm more concerned on everyone experience.

I had mine done three years ago, then I reffered the doctor two my two business partners, three employees, my wife, etc.... I have probably sent 12 or more people to the doctor that I used. Long story short, go and get it done, best money you will ever spend.

That being said DO NOT go to the cheapest guy you can find, my step dad had a really bad situation develop with a lowest bidder advertisement in Baton Rouge. I paid $4,500 for the procedure and my doctor also performed the same procedure on several local Houston athletes. I still see 17.5/20

Did it in 2010 and have not regretted it. Both eyes were -8.75 when I finally did it and still have 20/20 today!! I only experiened 2 draw backs. My eyes are more sensitive to light now. I always have a pair of sunglasses on top of my head just in case and that helps. Also, it was a huge disappointment in the shower, because it sure felt a lot bigger !!! Still haven't found a fix for that, but the wife tells me it'll due !

I used Dr. Jeff Singer. I think he does them out of BR and Laf. I did mine in Laf. The procedure lasted maybe 10 minutes and then 20 minutes observation. It was more of an aggrivation then pain. They gave me a huge sleeping pill and sent me home. The next day my eyes were VERY dry, but it got a little better every day while using the eye drops he gave me. Every once in a while I notice them geting a little dry, but I just flutter my eyes like a horny school girl and then it's all good. It's something you'll never regret. My mom had it done and one of my co-workers is going in Tuesday to get his done too.

I used him(Singer) in Metry about 10 years or so ago, he was off of I-10 and Clearview, in a medical center. He gave me a valium to make me not give a ****, then put numbing drops and antibiotic drops in.
Few min. later, he hauled me back, put something on my eyes that made me see black, then did it.
Took a sleeping pill and went across the street to a hotel I rented. Slept till morning and drove to Lake Charles.
I had to sleep with some goggles on the first night, so I wouldn't rub my eyes in my sleep.
I had to use drops for a couple days to prevent any infection.
Couple weeks later, I got some weed killer in my eyes. Went to Lady of the Lake in B.R. and the ER doctor said he couldn't tell I had it.
I have zero issues. Cost was around $1200 or $1400 back then. He had already done over 10,000 surgeries when I had mine.
He also does catarac surgery.
He is not an eye doctor that checks eyes for glasses and contacts. He is an eye surgeon.

Try shaving around it, you could probably pick up a half inch or so
