they have taken over barataria bay in Lafitte also. My last 3 trips out I have hooked onto some massive gaftops. Couldn't run from them. First summer that its been hard to get a decent amount of trout per trip.

Gaftop has always been a good eating fish. I think most people throw them back is because they are very slimy and that slime sticks to everything in touches. Other than that Great fish to eat...
