Default DAMN!!!!

So I am sittin in my stand yesterday evening. It's 5:40 and I am not expecting anything until almost dark. Well, there was a deer at 17 yards about to step out of da woods and into the open when it sees me waving my hand at the skeeter buzzin in my ear. I was so mad. Hopefully I can redeem myself tomorrow. It's the opener in Lacassine.

im like u..i kill 1 a year..all the rest of the deer huntin trips wit the boys to st. francisville consist of alotta bon fires food and beer and sleep...wen they get back i help em out and start back at the bud light again..thats y im a duck hunter...i get the greatest adrenaline rush know to man kind every weekend and most of the week..and the best part is im usually limited out by 8 and back at the house watching football by 12...and then i wake up and do it again..just for the rush..deer hunters only have a chance to get that rush 1 time a hunt..and alot of times never get it...duck hunters have the opportunity to get that rush up to 6 or more times as an indivdual and usually we always get it....i love mah deer hunters though..without yall us duck hunters would go starving..no lie bout dat mai..

Nice hat! Do they make those for men? I think there is a picture of W circulating on here wearing a hat like that. Just kidding. Nice deer.

Leaving home in a bit to go look at a couple of spots on the canal for in the morning. Hope the smell of crab bait in the boat draws the deer like it draws the flies.

How did you do? Everyone I talked to did not see any. So far I only know of 1 killed and 2 misses. Hope the moon goes away soon. I have had fresh tracks every morning when I get there. getting frustrating.

I saw two on opening morning. The first about 45 yards and in a ton of thick stuff. Didn't even see it's head. That was around 7am. Around 9am I heard something walking. A big doe headed towards me. She was down wind and I was worried she wouldn't make it. She got about 35 yards and froze. I needed her to come about 10 more to be in the clear but she slowly turned around and eased out the way she came. Didn't see anything Friday, Saturday or Sunday either. I couldn't stand another day of the skeeters so I skipped yesterday. Buddy jumped one out of his spot on Sunday mornin goin to his stand. We nearly got blowed out our trees on Sunday in da storm. Screw it, I am headed for Missouri on Thursday. Be nice to be in some much cooler temps with no skeeters. Hopefully I can stick the big one up der.

I had motor trouble this morning, luckily it was at the landing. I hope I fixed it, took the 60 off and put the 90 Optimax on. Can't wait to see the difference in speed and fuel economy. Will hopefully be out there tomorrow evening or Thurs. morning.
