I have no personal experience with the F70, I own an F150 and in my research ive read some feed back on the F 70 and it's been stated that is is a fantastic motor. If you look up microskiff.com and do some reading you will find scores of threads regarding the F70 which is very popular on those boats, that motor is considered the gold standard on those boats.

I also have no personal experience with the F70. I do however own a F150 and a F25 right now. I have owned 8 other Yamahas in the past and my experience with all of them has been nothing but positive. The best prices I've found anywhere for a new Yamaha is Breaux and Daigle in Pierre Part. I have no idea how they are able to sell motors so cheap. I guess their overhead is low. Definately worth checking with them before you buy anywhere else.

No experience on the F70, but a big +1 for Breaux\Daigle in Pierre Part.
