Default Marine AM/FM radio.

Looking to get a marine AM/FM radio for the boat. Was looking at the Boss audio Bluetooth stereo with 2 speakers for $100 at BassPro. Was just a wondering if anyone had any recommendations and/or experiences with these or any others?

Thanks

Boss is crap.
Here is the deal

Buy quality first and it will last for 3/4 years and cost about 400$
Buy cheap and you will repeat the process once a year if not more and cost 400+

^

And these prices don't include what you can't measure, which is stress and aggravation dealing with junk.

exactly!

Research and ask around.

If you have a lowrance hds unit on the boat u can build an audio system off that.
Look at JL marine speakers & amps.

Whatever you do....DO NOT buy the crap radio from academy. Dual....I think. Don't ask me how I know.

Btw....do you know why they are named dual?!?!?

Because you only get to use them twice.

My favorite by far. They can be had for about $110 by shopping around a bit. Mine is a year and a half old and has been trouble free.

I have the Kenwood radio and Infinity marine speakers. It rocks. $200 for all brand new from Crutchfield.

I have the Infinity Stereo and speakers with a Fosgate marine Amp. Sounds good and it will rock. Thinking about adding a Sub later.

Default Fusion Fogs up!

Fusion is overrated, IMO. I have one! Kenwood. Good luck.

What Type of housing do you guys have your stereos in? Waterproof pod type housing or just a flush mount with pop open cover?

If you get this one, you won't have to cover it.
