Default Very Few Hunting Reports this Season

Is it me or is there a lack of duck and goose hunting reports this year? Has it been that slow for everyone, or is everyone nervous of reporting and showing pictures of there hunts because they know next year someone will try and buy them out for there lease

I'm with you! The only reports seem to come from Big C...he must own his hunting property! This has been one of the better first splits along the coastal areas for most of us. However, I made opening weekend only but have been dove hunting alot instead.

We hunt on the east side of pecan is. And it's the worst 1st split in 15 years. Just don't see many ducks at all.

It's been hit or miss in GC for us. Some days it's 1 or 2 and the next day it's 12 or 18. As stated above, the teal haven't made a big showing thus far. The woodies and grays are definitely abundant though.

Been pretty average for us this first split. Smoked them opening weekend. 7-9 birds/hunt average after that. 2 guys shot limit this past Saturday. Ended up averaging about 10 birds/hunt for first split total.

Yea, we lost our lease this year because someone with more money came and bought us out, I used to enjoy viewing everyone pictures and reports but now I understand why people are hesitant to post. Its sad but soon unless you own the land or have big time money no one will be able to afford a decent place to hunt.

i was just noticing the same thing a couple weeks ago. I think its got to do with not wanting to let others know how you are doing and risk loosing your lease to bigger $.

Do you hunt near the front or drive way to the back?

LOL, I know ALL the landowners on that road: 1)Dore; 2) Crain Bros. 3) Romero 4) CPSB

If he hunts in front its either Crain or Romero. If in back its got to be CPSB. Dore doesn't lease back there.
