Default 8/5/16 Trout Smack Down

Had Travis and his dad today , and they have a minor league baseball player Jaylen staying the summer with them while he is playing summer ball ..

We whacked out a trout limit by 9am
And let Jaylen catch a ton of bull reds (his 1st time saltwater fishing )

Nice. I went today and when I was done and back at launch I looked all over for that banana! Just could not get on good fish today. Boxed 3 reds and 5-6 trout. I did loose one like ur client other day. Set hook on nice fish and it came straight to top of water then all of sudden four foot shark jumped up and I reeled in bare line. Wish I cioukd at least saw it or the head. I don't think it was 7-8 pounds like y'all s estimated to be but it was 3-4 pounds . Was in the first little cut going intoi ship channel just southwest of long point. 3 rd shark I've hooked this year and never have I in years past in the lake

While trolling into that cut I saw a yellow Cajun thunder Popping cork moving but It went under just as I got close enough to try to get it never to be seen again. Big cork to stay under so had to be nice fish someone broke off. Anyway after that shark no more bites there. Last two sharks i hooked have been big sharks. Don't know much about them so couldn't tell wat kind. Other one I got all the way to boat and was a little bull shark.
