Any Saturday reports?

Looks like it may be slowing down some. Maybe they headed for deeper water. Idk I'm just guessing on previous reports or lack there of and my last couple trips. I'm off Monday and Tuesday but can't wait any longer so gonna make a quick trip in the morning . Do we still have bait all over lake? What's the live shrimp been like all week?

Did not see much bait in the northern half of the lake on Wed.

There was a small sign at the Calcasieu pt landing bait house that said no live shrimp. But that was on Wed.

My partner and I limited but it wasn't a walk in the park. Lots and lots of small fish, had boats blowing past us all day, and the heat was nearly unbearable. Caught pretty much everything on topwater until noon when we got sick of weeding through the dinks and decided to fish some deeper holes. There were dinks in the deep holes too. We limited out but it was definitely one of the poorer trips of the summer so far.

Ended up with 13 but had to work, like Marque said. Tough fishing Sat.

My worst day since summer ..
Think I'm done fishing Saturday until September
Had zero tide
Thank good our customers had a hell of a day on Fri with us because at 9:40am they said enough of this

This is my anchor rope on the channel at 8am
Just slack and floating

Had a guy come get between me and Chris after daylight and said he been fishing that spot for 12 years

Didn't matter we were there 1st
He was no more than 15 feet away from us
Said nobody ever fishes that spot but him lmao

Just let me say I promise he didn't catch a fish there because when we left it looked like a whirlpool of chocolate milk

We spent most the afternoon on big lake, tried several spots, all the trout we caught were too small. Ended up with a couple of reds and that's it.
