It is raining now. In the past 3 days, I have had 4.5".

Most of the rain has been just a steady drizzle and soaked into the very dry ground. Hopefully my grass will "green" up and not have some dead spots.

glad to hear y'all didn't get it as bad as we did in Lafayette. I've got a friend in Shreveport wanting to do Big Lake in two weeks, I told him he may want to hold off longer, I thought y'all got 15-20 inches like us.

I have had about 6" rain total [3 days] here at the house.

My has a friend that lives near the Salt Water barrier. She said yesterday that they had gotten 21" rain..... and probably a little more today.

just doesn't seem like we have got all that much. Out at old town bay where I work we got like 6inches this past week. I was gonna try this am but fist night back is hard so I'm just gonna pull boat to work with me Thursday night and go take a look at big lake Friday morning. Should be able to find some reds if trout bite is too slow

I'm definitely not smokin em! A few small trout here and there, water is better below 9MC, will post report later, nobody on the lake at all except for one shallow sport that might as well have hopped on my boat and drank all the beer

I am going this weekend to check on the camp and fish wherever. Was thinking the south end by the Jetties might be holding some fish.

Anyone have any ideas? I am sure Black Lake is probably really fresh.

Have not been to black lake since June but Turner's was fresh and stained yesterday. South would be best. I have not fished east side this year anyone having luck there

East side of lake has not been up to par this year, had some good trips early in the year around April and May but since then its been very hit or miss with not much success.

Hopefully by October it will come back around
