Default Southwest Louisiana Crawfish Farms??

Looking to buy crawfish directly from the farms. Tired of paying retail prices. Does anyone know of any crawfish farms in the Southwest Louisiana area where i can buy them direct at wholesale prices???

Most farms aren't willing to burn their buyers over a sack or two of crawfish so, they won't likely sell that to an individual. It's too much risk to do that.

Not buying to sell, but when I would buy it would be 4 or 5 sacks at a time. It would all depend on price. We used to have a guy that would crawfish on the river and sell them for wholesale to the public but he passed away years ago. Im from southeast texas by the way.

ok well times have changed unless you find someone willing to sell you crawfish outright...the majority of crawfish farmers sell to wholesellers these days and wont bother with individual sells...but there are some farmers who will sell direct...you just have to find them.

Think about this. If he sells 10 sacks a month to you, he is cutting out a seller that buys that much or more per day. If that buyer finds out, he won't buy from him any more. I be seen it in person. Most fishermen are scared of the dock and what they are capable of doing to them.

Get them out of abbeville from the farm market. Sacks of large last year were 1.37/lb. & 0.98/lb for medium.

I'd sell em. 2, 3 and, 4' traps. Most were only used one season. Had a guy that was gonna come and buy them a while back but, he never showed up. $350 would take em all.

As a fisher I can vouch for this. We MIGHT sell a sack during vacations to friends.
