Make sure you have registered with the "do not call" service. This makes it illegal to call you for marketing purposes

A number calling your number will not get a response from law enforcement. Now, if they were harassing you on Facebook, they could do something! I know - CRAZY - but don't shoot the messenger. Telecommunication harrasment is a prosecuteable offense.......................when associated with a crime. Good luck getting your local agency to take the case! We can't get drug dealers prosecuted!!!!!

LOL! My brother has told me repeatedly that, in his town, if you want to go to jail and, stay there, write a hot check. If all you're after is weekends or paper time, commit murder, vehicular homicide or sell drugs!
