Had 5 removed at one time! Yes 5!!!!

Keep sockets clean....flush and gargle! Try to eat liquids as much as possible till they close.

Take the meds, thats what they are for!!!!!! You will look like a chimpmunk for a coupe days...

When I had mine pulled the Dr gave me a syringe with a plastic curved tip on it to squirt into the sockets to clean them out. Mostly use it after the cut were healed to clean out the cavities.

Here's my tips.

You going to split blood for a couple days, keep a paper cup with a paper towel handy.

If your face feels wet, whipe it, you probably drooling.

If you feel something funny in your mouth, don't chew it, thats your toungue and its not going to feel good tomorrow when the lidocaine wears off in your mouth.

Every time you take a pain pill wash it down with a couple beers.

Get aquainted with Smoothy King for the next few days and get some meal replacement shakes.

You should be GTG for Sat.

This is what the syringe looked like.

Do not suck on straws, it will pull the blood clot from the cavity and that's what causes a dry socket.

I had all 4 pulled at once. All the advice given so far is right on the money. My MOM just so happens to have been a dental assistant her entire life. She worked with an oral surgen for some time as well. When I had mine pulled she told me do not smoke or suck on straws to avoid dry sockets. The pills and beer will do great for the pain. Just wanted to add that after the blood stops pooring out of your mouth, try using a tea bag as a gaw. It also helps with the pain and was told it helps the healing process as well.

One word OXYCONTIN, when used for the right reasons such as yours, there is no better for a pain free recovery.
