My Dad has one of those old green aluminum tackle boxes that is dang near the size of a 120qt icechest! the ones with double lids that opened to the sides & has about 10 trays that fold out & the deep bottom that is FULL of old wooden baits, alot are still in the boxes. Hellbenders, Lazy Ikes, Dalton specials, Aborgast Mudbugs, Lucky 13's, Chugger spooks, wounded spooks, sonics, swimming minnows, creek chubs, Hawaiian wigglers, jitterbugs, hula poppers. I dig in it all the time & he raises hell! I know there is 5 ambassador 5000's (the old ones with the short handles with the pearl knobs) in the bottom that have never had line put on them & 2 pflueger direct drives, One has a metal rod on it. Other baits that I can't think of right now, but I'd love to know how much money is in that box!!!

I got a buddy that sold a 2.5 custom-painted LC knockoff for $59....a $2.25 blank. It all depends on who sees it and how bad they want it. I don't mess with e-bay right now. Probably never will.

Check and see if you can buy culls from 'em....baits that have a screwed up paint job or no eyes, etc. Sometimes, if they'll sell, you can get some deals. Otherwise, ask if you can get 'em unfinished with no hooks or splits.

Jeff, the only bait I've painted that runs that depth is a Rapala DT-6 knockoff.
