picked up a carrot stick back in early 09 for topwater slinging and I could cast it a country mile....nice backbone to it....but it didn't last as it snapped on a red after 3 months. Traded it in and paid difference on shimano cumara. Never looked back.

Fool...what is the model bucco you guys like? How does it compare to the cara t7? I've been through just about every rod on the market( CEPT A LOO) and i just keep returning to my t7's.

My bucco is a 7ft med. The original model. I like it just for flukes, even for reds. Good action on those rods.

I need to get me a good jig rod/grass ripper for texas rig. Been using standard medium light action....but need more backbone. What cha recommend fool? I've got to get me a bass for the wall this winter so im probably cutting big lake out this for the next 2 months and staying on the bend. Let me know if you ever want to go pound some bass.

That's my heavy worm rod/jig. Check it out.

Check out tacklewarehouse.com under casting rods,.they have some good deals on just about every rod dealer known. But definitely get a feel for whatever rod you buy in person.
