I'm wanting to stain my concrete floors in my house. House is located in Carlyss (South Sulphur). Does anyone have someone they would like to recommend?

I've stained concrete outside but never inside. Be sure to get the surface as clean as possible. Plan on giving it 2 coats because it will wear better. Also, do not select a color that is "too" light or "too" dark because both show dirt very easy.

Just my thoughts from experience.

I have no experience in staining concrete.

I did put down a concrete sealer a couple months ago. Concrete still looks very good....like it just got pressure washed. Doing the job was not hard, took a couple of hours to spray out about 750 sq ft.

When researching concrete sealers, I saw a bunch of manufactures selling stains. I would think, it would not be hard to do the job yourself. Check You Tube for videos on how to do it.

Man that looks great. My buddy had a house with stained concrete and it had been scored to make it look like tile. Looked awesome. Will older concrete take a stain or does it have to be new? Our house is about 25 yrs old. I've pretty much got rid of all of the carpet. Did tile and lamanite flooring. Our bedroom is concrete still and I haven't decided what to do. Carpet sucks. We aren't "take your shoes off" kind of people and I damn sure am not going to ask visitors to do that either.

I'm not sure how it goes on older concrete but as long as it's clean got shouldn't be an issue I don't guess. To me it would give it character.... Now this color is called vintage umber. It shows dirt pretty easy but I have the roomba running at 9am everyday and it keeps it presentable! Lol

Some dirt on the floor just means you're using your house. Not that a house shouldn't be clean but if a person is inspecting that closely I don't want them there. My wife doesn't like it much when she gets done mopping and I get done weedeating at the same time. The cold beer is in the fridge and that's where I'm headed.lol

Oh I understand that! We have a sign somewhere that says Sorry if the house isn't clean enough for you but we live here!
