weighed this morning and I am at 252.6. This means I am one pound away from 20 lbs down!!! I started losing weight before we started this challenge so I am like 16 pounds down from my starting weight here.

Yep, work had me travelling the first few weeks of the month. Had about a week and a half of hard-core cheating while on the road, but have still lost a considerable amount in the two weeks or so I've been doing Atkins (first and last week of this month).

i have been doing some pretty extensive research on making this lifestyle change. One of the common themes I am seeing is that it is imperative you eat enough calories. Apparently, there is a thing called "starvation mode" that your body can get into if you are not eating enough calories after you factor in the calories burnt from exercise. I can attest to the fact that since I started upping my calorie count to make up for what I burned I have been losing weight at a more rapid pace. I would suggest logging all your calories on either fatsecret.com or I use myfitnesspal.com. MFP has an app for the Iphone making in quick and easy. Seeing what goes in and comes out everyday not only makes me accountable it also has helped me get the most bang for my buck. Sorry for the long post I just want to help if I can.

Thanks for the help bro, I've read the same thing doing a little research myself and I think that I'm going to do that if things don't get better in a week or two. Need to shock the system somehow. In '08 I lost 100lbs, I gained 60 back and I've lost almost 20 since Jan 2... I'm doing almost the same thing now as I did then so last week kind of confused me... Maybe it was just a glich.

I haven't weighed myself in a while. I'm pretty sure I put back on the little bit that I lost at the beginning though. My schedule's been outta whack with the baby coming a month early, trying to finish the house so we can move in and everybody cooking a bunch of food for us and bringing it over since we don't have much time to cook for ourselves. Makes it a lil difficult to stay on track right now. As soon as we move into the house I'll be able to exercise and not worry about waking the baby or my wife so that'll be a huge plus.

Awesome bro, it looks like we're the only one's still dieting.

Yeah everyone seems to be slacking a little. I know Yak'em can only weigh himself at my house so I know why he hasn't posted. After about the first week of this competition this weight lose thing became about me. I am continuing after it is over. We should keep posting, we might inspire others to start or continue their own journeys.
