Default Big Lake Speckled Trout

Does anyone have update on Speckled Trout bite in Big Lake? Wanting to bring the wife, but need the bite to be good so she can catch something.

Thanks for the help,

Guides still look like they are mostly catching reds. Seeing a few more specks.

Not so good right now. I don't know why, there is bait everywhere and shrimp are plentiful.

They catch specks everyday. Reds seem to be easier to find. Don't want it too bad may not happen just to put and enjoy the day. If have to trout up ur chances and get some live shrimp and I bet u find some trout

Fished Monday and only caught hardheads, small croaker, and one rat red
Couldn't buy a trout
No one at the landing had anything either trout or reds

Hackberry rod n gun has a lot of boats out everyday and they have been posting pictures of trout everyday. Albeit a lot more boats catching reds than trout. Hope to make a saltwater trip next week and try my luck.

Yes I was talking about the channel jettys
I've seen people do it but always been nervous to do it myself
You just go slow right through the middle I guess?
