Not sure, there is a guy on 2cool that has had his up 66 with a light load and claims to run 63 with a tournament load but you never know for sure until you try it yourself. That is about the same numbers I was seeing with my Verado but getting less than 3 mpg while crusing. The guy on 2cool claims to cruise at 42-44 and get over 4mpg. If I can touch anything close to that I will be really happy.

I had a purebay a few years ago, 2400 with a Suz 300 on it, that boat would hit 60 with a light load. One good thing about the Purebay, at WOT it is still very stable. Every Haynie I have been in gets really loose at WOT. I loved the way the Haynie would ride at crusing speeds and take a side chop.

Thank you for the kind words regarding the boat guys.

Yup verados are Junk. Actually all the mercurys are junk. The only choice in a motor is Yamaha or suzuki!

Casey...love your new boat! Congrats! Quick question...how does that powder coating hold up in salt water. Are there any issues concerning rust creep under that coating? I like the look of the coating but always wondered how well it holds up down here......
