Default Big lake/West cove

Fished west cove today from 11-430ish. Still trying to figure the trout out since I'm a newbie. Caught one nice trout then, ran into some redfish so stayed on them for awhile. Tide chart said that tide would be falling after 11. It was coming in west cove all day, even after I took off. I have a hard time believing those tide charts. I didn't take any pictures but my buddy did. Water clarity was maybe a foot and with that incoming tide it was chocolatey in some spots. A lot of bait and small shad. Hope to get out again and learn some more about the lake. Caught my fish on lemon/chart matrix shad. Hope someone gets some use out of this little report

Good report. I'm a rookie too but have had some luck with the reds around rabbitt island in west cove if the water is moving and in the grass there. pm me if you want some info

We caught them good for 1st 2 hrs. of morning on top water in west cove Friday, tons of blow ups, but they shutdown just as fast as they started.
