FlagUS 2nd trip fourchon 6-7

Left erath @ 430 was on the water around 820. Water was nice and smooth 1 ft. Ran about 35 mile out into blue water and found the rip but no mahi.
Took us a while a while to find a rig with snapper on it sue to so many boat fishing that day

Caught my first cobia and king today! Both on speck rods
Limited out on snapper

Pink hairy jig( pampano jig) they where 2 but only had one rigged up to fish...my friend thought it was shark swimming next to the boat. Ran to my t top and got my rod and tossed it in front of him and yam he took off and almost spooled me. Didn't have another rig hooked up to cath the other one.

And thanks for the scout report that helped a lot !

Look at getting a penn spinning reel or a Saragosa, both realitively inexpensive and you can put a lot of line on them... the are great Ling rods.
