Trailer that thing East to Grand Isle or Fourchon!
You can find 100' of water so miles from the launch there. |

I hope to a few times this year but my family has a camp at the point so it's easy to just wake up go. But thanks for your advise.

Furthest I have been south of the pass is 15 miles and water was still 15-20'.

Go out of freshwater city or pecan island. You'll save on fuel that's for sure.

You'll be in about 20' of water for about 20mi out of SW pass until you get past the shoals. At that point the water depth will increase to about 60' pretty quick but you will not get to 100' for about 50nm. You can, however, get some sows in 60-100 ft of water if you know what you are doing or get lucky...they are there particularly early in the season.

X2....Try S Marsh Island 6,7 and 9. 60-70ft depths....BIG snaps in that area. Fish specks on the way in on Trinity and Tiger shoal. |
